Yes, this picture shows three sides of me ;-)

Hi! So ... you have arrived at my "About" page. As you may have gathered this site is basically a selection of my creative doodlings.

Work and play: I have a normal job but within my almost-corporate exterior lies a dilletante cartoonist / digital artist / musician / writer. In my travels I somehow stumbled onto web design and too.

Still, cartoons are perhaps my first love. When you are an ADHD child you don't read long tracts of text - you read comic books. Then I started dabbling (appallingly) in them at school and continued to do them (very badly), on and off, up to 2001. In 2001 I first went online and created my first website—a dodgy Homestead site—to showcase my cartoons because I knew no publisher in their right mind would print them.

The ghost series cartoons (not van Gogh) featured on this long-gone website; they were created around 2000 or so. They were drawn and scanned. These days I usually create them digitally.

In June 2006, I decided to change the licensing arrangement for my cartoons - the licence can be read at Creative Commons. You can use any cartoons that have been signed by me with my name and website address for any purpose you like (that's not abhorrent to me) - for free cartoons free cartoons freeeeeeeee! (GOOGLE, ARE YOU LISTENING?)

ADHD: I am a Jill of all trades and mistress of none. This is probably because I am an ADHD woman. In my view, you don't have ADHD, you are ADHD.

In 2003 I learned that not all ADHD people are boys who bounce off walls and, if untreated, it can make a mess of adults' lives—including women. Not that we are useless—in fact, there are many famous ADD people. For example, Thomas Edison is sometimes referred to as the "ADD pinup boy".

The way ADHD manifests in me (apart from fazing out every now and then) is that for many years I didn't know whether I should be a cartoonist, artist, writer, web designer, musician or dole bludger - which probably explains why I worked in admin for most of my life.

At the time of writing I fancy myself as a cartoonist who sometimes makes digital art or writes. Looking at the eccentric and eclectic offerings on my "What's new" panel on the home page over the years probably says it all.

Views: Like everyone else, I don't live in a vacuum and the human beings in my vicinity provide me with an endless supply of fun and fascination.

I am also a news junkie, and some of my thoughts about the world around us are in the box to the right -->

Contact: If you would like to contact me either click the link or email the address below this box (if you don't have an email program on your machine).
